What is PE?

The American medical association’s diagnostic and statistical manual defines PE as:

“Persistent recurrent ejaculation with minimal stimulation happening before the person wishes it to occur”.

More simply, PE can be defined as:

  • The inability to control your ejaculation
  • Ejaculating before you have satisfied your partner
  • Ejaculating within several minutes of penetration

How Common Is PE?

What Causes PE?

There are two distinct causes of PE.

In older people, PE may have occurred after you developed an erection problem. If so, please see Erectile Dysfunction.

1. An oversensitive head (or glans) of the penis.
This means that with little stimulation, ejaculation will occur, and/or.

2. Being nervous or tense during love making. This often started from the very first time you made love and continued until now.
